The VPD Hockeyball Dream Classic Is Coming to Jack Poole Plaza 🇨🇦🏒
On May 21st, 2026, downtown Vancouver is set to come alive as the VPD Hockeyball Dream Classic takes over Jack Poole Plaza—bringing together sport, community, and pure Jr. Canucks-style fun in one unforgettable afternoon.
Hosted in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, HOCKEYBALL, and the broader hockey community, this event is all about access, inclusion, and celebrating the game we all love—right in the heart of the city. Launching our Jr. Canucks NHL Street Jamboree program, this will include over 250 kids playing on 3 arenas outdoors at City Hall.
Hockey for Everyone
Hockeyball is fast, fun, and accessible—and that’s exactly the spirit of the Dream Classic. With no skates required and barriers removed, kids, families, and fans of all ages can jump in, play, and connect. The plaza will transform into a festival-style hockey village featuring interactive hockeyball games, skills challenges, and pop-up activations designed to get everyone moving.
Canucks Alumni, Big Smiles & Bigger Moments
One of the highlights of the day will be appearances from Canucks Alumni, giving fans the chance to meet former NHL greats, snap photos, and hear stories from the game’s highest level. And of course, no Canucks-adjacent event is complete without Fin, who will be on site bringing the energy, laughs, and classic photo-ops for young fans.
